The Furnace: Bryce modelsFrom here you may download models for use in your own 3D rendered artwork. The collection will change at an irregular rate so it is worth checking back here once a month or so if you find any of the models of interest. Note that these are all zipped to save download time and I provide a filesize, if you are experienced this will give you a rough idea of the download time on your system. These models are made and tuned for Bryce, although some of them may be suitable for export from Bryce and use in another 3D package some definitely won't be. All these files are copyright material and you may use them to create images for pleasure or for personal gain. You may not, however, redistribute the files themselves either in modified or unmodified form, nor any file derived from the file that is of a similar kind. So for example, you can distribute an image rendered in Bryce or another 3D package using any of the 3D models here, but you may not distribute a 3D model based on one you download from here. There additional information provided with each model in the .zip file; it is to your advantage to read it as some models may have moving parts or special features that you may not notice if you don't read the text files that come with them. The first model archive to be made available could be just what you're looking for if you want to show that DAZ3D dragon hatching... Eggs! Four DXF files of eggs, one intact version, one broken in two roughly equal parts, one broken at the top, and one fragmented at the top. The illustration (top row left end) makes it clear what you get. The render shows all but the intact egg, with the fragmented one on the right. When loaded the parts are aligned so the broken eggs will, if given a single material, look intact. This allows you to compose a nice still, a sequence of images or even an animation in Bryce (or whatever you're using). File is 152k on disk. In addition some small primitives of girders are available, these shapes could easily be made in Bryce from Cuboids, but these small models as .DXF files will save a lot of construction time and the parts are already aligned and can't go out of alignment. File is 5k on disk. Bryce columns pack (OBP). Three different marble columns for use in your Bryce construction projects, each with a realistic curved taper. File is 615k on disk. The Superstealth fighter plane comes as a Bryce .OBP model for Bryce 3.1 or later. It comes with a choice of US Air force or US Navy colours but it is easy to produce your own paint schemes if you want it in Canadian, Australian, or any other national colours. The .ZIP contains the model in two paint schemes and a starter colour scheme with no badges for you to use to paint your own. The US Navy version provided is a real US unit while the US Air force version is an imaginary air defense squadron for the defense of the New York area. Time limited model! The Gyrocopter for Bryce is back. A Bryce OBP file ready to use in your science fiction scenes. A futuristic Gyrocopter air taxi for Bryce plus a Police texture map to replace the Taxi map. This model may only be available here until Sunday 5 December 2004. After that date I will keep it here as long as I can but may need to move the file to make way for others. File is 1.4Mb on disk. Police texture map is 100k on disk. You can also download the texture templates if you want to create your own texture maps in a paint program. Note the blurred rotor blades; this is not the result of editing the image in a paint program, the rotor blades and fans render like that and are switchable if you want to show the aircraft parked. Instructions on switching between blurred and solid fans and rotor blades are enclosed in the .ZIP file. Important note: Bryce OBP files cannot be imported by other applications that I know of, so if you don't have Bryce the OBP files are not useful. They are clearly marked in the text above now for easier avoidance by those with other 3D programs. |
